ABOUT
Fil Kopelman is a multi-disciplined creator, working primarily with television and film production.
He recently wrote, directed and produced the short film ‘Excavation Point Thestias’ as part of his final year project at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School.
He has a diverse background with a wide range of skills and experiences. Proficient in various materials and techniques such as scenic carpentry, sculpting, props fabrication, CNC milling, MIG welding, molding and casting, and paint finishing.
Fil hails from Sweden, where he has worked in the Swedish Film Industry, chiefly as Property Master (Art Department). He currently lives in Wellington – working with set construction and props fabrication.
Fil also operates as Sphinx Productions – a Wellington based company with the aim of telling stories through film, combining compelling narratives with strong visual.
